Origins of Shat-Avdhan
The most ancient mention of avadhaan available in history is by Muni Sundersuri Maharaj. He
performed 1000 avadhaan in the royal court of a King. No record or mention of any avadhaan before him is found. There is a mention of shatavadhaan by Shree Siddhichandraji performed in the court of Jahangir.
14-15th Century
There is a mention of shatavadhaan by Shree Siddhichandraji performed in the court of Jahangir.

19-20th Century AD
Mention of Shatavadhaan by Shrimad Rajchandra in front of British rulers is available in history

Year 2009 - 2012
Munishri performed 500 avadhaan in front of an audience of 10,000 at NSCI stadium, Mumbai in
2014.
This programme lasted for 7 hours and witnessed the presence of 14 judges including the chief Justice himself.
Munishri Chandraprabha chandra sagarji performed first ever shatavdhaan in english which was
witnessed telecast live in 140 countries.
Thereafter he achieved the feat of 200 avadhaan at Mysuru which was witnessed by a crowd of 5,000

Ajitchandrasagarji. He performed this feat on his own without anyone’s help or assistance through
spiritual efforts supported by maun (speechlessness), Saraswati Sadhana, Aagam Swadhyay, blessings by guru etc.
